The Launch Date for Solana’s Much-Anticipated New Altcoin Has Been Announced
Solana Mobile has announced that its highly anticipated altcoin, Seeker (SKR), will officially launch on January 21st.
According to the project team, the SKR snapshot is complete, and 20% of the total supply has been allocated for an airdrop program for users and developers. Details regarding the airdrop distribution and token application process are expected to be shared in the coming days.
According to the official schedule, the SKR token will be launched on January 21, 2026 at 05:00 (UTC+3). The announcement stated that this time corresponds to 21:00 Eastern Time (EST) on January 20 in the US. Solana Mobile announced that details regarding the airdrop distribution and the token claiming process, along with eligibility criteria, will be comprehensively explained in the coming days.
According to published tokenomics data, the SKR supply is planned under seven main categories:
- Airdrop Distribution – 30%
- Growth and Partnerships – 25%
- Solana Mobile Team – 15%
- Liquidity and Launch – 10%
- Solana Labs – 10%
- Community Treasury – 10%
Solana Mobile also shared the inflation model for the SKR token with the public. According to this model:
- A 10% inflation rate will be applied in the first year, and approximately 1 billion SKR will be produced.
- The annual thinning rate will proceed with a 25 percent reduction.
- In the long term, the final rate will be fixed at 2 percent annually.
