Thai regulators conduct surprise inspection of World iris scanning sites
Jinse Finance reported that the Thailand Securities and Exchange Commission, together with the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB), conducted a raid on iris scanning sites related to OpenAI CEO Sam Altman's digital identity project World (formerly known as Worldcoin). Regulators found that the WLD token exchange service provider was suspected of violating local digital asset laws by operating without a license. Investigators have arrested the relevant suspects, and the case will proceed to further law enforcement procedures.
