Solana to Launch Alpenglow Vote Next Week, DeFi Developer Announces Support
Foresight News reports that DeFi Dev Corp has announced Solana will launch the Alpenglow vote next week. If approved, Solana’s finality time will be reduced to approximately 100-150 milliseconds. This speed is comparable to centralized systems like Visa and represents a significant improvement over other blockchain networks. DeFi Dev Corp stated it will vote in favor of the proposal, with the voting window set from August 27, 2025, to September 2, 2025.
