Trump Widely Considers Candidates for Federal Reserve Board, Including Yellen
According to ChainCatcher, citing Jinshi News, U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessent stated in an interview with Fox Business Channel that he is optimistic the Senate will confirm Stephen Milan to fill the interim vacancy on the Federal Reserve Board before the Fed's September policy meeting. Bessent revealed that Trump is actively seeking candidates to fill the permanent vacancy on the Federal Reserve Board that will arise in January next year, and is even considering nominating former Fed Chair Janet Yellen.
