Cryptocurrency advocates call on Trump to clarify digital asset regulation after taking office

On February 11, the House Financial Services Committee's Subcommittee on Digital Assets, Financial Technology, and Artificial Intelligence will hold a hearing titled "The Golden Age of Digital Assets: Charting a Path Forward." Attendees will include senior executives specializing in cryptocurrency research, such as Jose Fernandez da Ponte from PayPal, Jonathan Jachym from Kraken cryptocurrency exchange, and Timothy Massad from Harvard University. Ji Hun Kim, Chairman and Acting CEO of the Crypto Council for Innovation (CCI), emphasized the importance of establishing clear and comprehensive digital asset policies at the federal level in written testimony submitted to Congress.
