U.S. December retail sales fell more than expected on a monthly basis
U.S. retail sales fell to 0.4% in December, a new low since August 2024, far below the market expectation of 0.6%.
After the U.S. data was released, the dollar index DXY briefly dropped more than 10 points to 109.33. BTC fluctuated slightly and is currently reported at $99,000.
