Polygon to Migrate from MATIC to POL Tokens in September
Polygon Labs, the primary developer of the Layer 2 network Polygon, said Wednesday that it will begin a technical upgrade on Sept. 4, replacing its MATIC tokens with new POL tokens. The migration is part of a planned overhaul that Polygon outlined last year in its “Polygon 2.0” roadmap. The change was originally proposed to its community in July 2023 and will make POL the primary token for all Polygon networks.
