The ruling party in the UK has expressed its support for cryptocurrency
PANews reported on May 3rd, according to CoinDesk, the preliminary results of yesterday's local elections in the UK showed that the ruling Conservative Party has expressed its support for cryptocurrencies. Although the Labour Party has indicated support for tokenization, it has not yet stated its position on cryptocurrencies. About a third of local councils in the country voted on Thursday with over 2600 seats up for grabs. BBC data shows that out of 107 councils, Labour won 360 council seats in 40 councils, an increase of 62 seats while Conservatives lost 147 seats with a total of only 129 seats left behind Liberal Democrats.
