54,640 ETH Destroyed on Ether Chain in April, NFT Transactions Down Nearly 35%
The Ether network destroyed a total of 54,640 ETH in April, valued at the equivalent of $179 million. The data shows that since the implementation of EIP-1559 in early August 2021, Ether has destroyed a total of about 4.78 million ETHs, valued at about $12.02 billion. Additionally Ether's on-chain NFT marketplace transaction value plummeted 34.5% to approximately $476 million, while Ether pledge revenue fell further to $257 million, a 16.9% decline, compared to Bitcoin miners' revenue, which fell to $1.78 billion, an 11.3% decline, in April.
