Multicoin Capital in Talks to Sell About $100 Million in FTX Bankruptcy Claims
Cryptocurrency investment firm Multicoin Capital is in talks to sell its FTX bankruptcy claim, which is worth about $100 million, according to a person familiar with the matter. Positive news about the FTX bankruptcy has led to the claim selling for upwards of 70 cents on the dollar and climbing to 80 cents on the dollar. Multicoin has reportedly been approached by buyers of the claims for more than a year, and as potential bids rise, the firms are weighing the opportunity cost of capital and opting for an early sale.
